Windows NT Win32 API SuperBible by Richard J. A programmer can put together an application using the components provided with Visual Basic itself. (Optional support for Windows Vista, Seven, and Windows 8) 4. This instructable is for programmers of any skill level who know the basics of c++ and want to become familiar with the Win32 API. A couple of things that occur to me personally are the ease of creating and using COM objects, and the ease of creating wrappers for the Win32 API. Programs written in Visual Basic can also use the Windows API, but doing so requires external function declarations. I preferred that you write the source code in VB .NET 2010. You have just built a simple calculator using Win32 API and Visual Studio 2010! NET/C# to wrap Win32, so that's not really an advantage for classic VB. Program can running in Windows XP platform. In this case, we will be learning the Win32 API by programming a simple integer calculator with the help of Visual Studio 2010. Would anyone else care to share I mean if you know vb6 that's great, but if you are just getting into programming I am not sure what learning vb6 uniquely offers for "today's computing" that .NET doesn't co-opt.
